Sohan Perera

Sohan joined AFS Logistics in September 2013 and is responsible for Financial Management, & Governance of the Group. Sohan is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and has a 30+ year career in logistics spanning finance, property, commercials, and technology.  Most of this time was spent at Australian Air Express, a joint venture company of Australia Post and Qantas Airways Limited.

Sohan’s experience includes involvement in airport operations and infrastructure, airfreight logistics, fuel surcharge commodity pricing, property development and inter-airline contracts with the likes of Emirates, KLM, South African Airways, and the US Military, including the establishment of interoperability with the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Sohan’s experience, good judgement and business acumen has been integral to the AFS journey, developing business strategies, leading acquisitions, and playing a key role in starting new ventures such as MOVEIT, AFS Global, AFS 3PL, the introduction of PowerBi, whilst continuing to support restructure and investment opportunities across the AFS Group.

Sohan’s breadth of experience and tenure at AFS provides valuable end to end financial and analytical insights, that supports AFS’s growth and importantly adds value for our customers.
